Home Watch

Interior and Exterior Observation of your home. Its not about “if something will happen” its about “when something happens”.

Our Home Watch services in detail:

Upon  Arrival We:

  • Do an exterior check of the grounds, landscape, pests, lawn and sprinklers
  • Remove newspapers, flyers, and check the mailbox
  • Visually check outdoor light fixtures
  • Check the exterior of the home, including roof (from ground), screens, windows, AC units, and fences
  • Enter home, temporarially disarming security system if appropriate.
  • Turn water ON – “gingerly” to ensure your pipes are in good, working order

Interior Check Process Includes:

  • Check of windows and doors for damage and ensure they are locked
  • Visual check of unobstructed areas to check for sighs of water damage, mold and/or mildew
  • Cycle the water: brush and flush toilets, run water in sinks (including garbage disposal), tubs and showers
  • Short cycle dishwasher and washer
  • Check the water heater – it should be turned OFF at circuit breaker, or on Vacation Mode, when water main is OFF.  If there is a Circulator Pump, that should be OFF.  Procedure varies by type of water heater
  • Check for signs of insects, pests and rodents
  • Check closets, pantry and storage cabinets
  • Verify AC and humidistat settings; adjust as necessary
  • Check refrigerator, freezers and wine coolers for proper temp and operation
  • Reset clocks after any power outages
  • Check circuit breaker panels
  • Check garage (including trash) and make sure door to garage is locked and secured

Lanai and Pool Area Inspection:

  • Check water level and condition of water
  • Check equipment and pool control panel for functionality
  • Check screen door, screening and cage structure for security

 Departure

  • Final departure:  “Look. Listen. Lock.”
  • Enable security system, lock doors
  • Turn OFF water supply

Concierge Services

Personal Home Watch Concierge Services can performing various tasks to make your arrival, stay and departure from Naples less stressful.  Some of the services include but are not limited to: purchasing groceries, shopping, picking up/drop off dry cleaning, waiting for technicians, shipping/mailing, schedule cleaning, meet and great guests or renters.

Vendor Key In Services

Vendor Key In Services is another essential part of Concierge Services.  They include accepting delivery of furniture or appliances, opening and closing of your home for repair service calls, making sure the vendor has properly completed all tasks required.  In addition photographs are taken and sent to you.
 

Car Drives

Many home watch companies offer “Car Starts.” They will start the car and let it run for a few minutes. More often than not, this is the worse thing you can do for a car. It will only drain the battery. Personal Home Watch offers a Car Drive Service where I give it a good 10 to 15 mile drive on a very regular schedule. My clients return to cars that are operating properly. Many other seasonal residents return to dead batteries, moldy cars, tires that have flat spots and more! If the electronics have to be reset by the dealership, it can cost thousands of dollars. With Personal Home Watch, your vehicle(s) will be in safe and reliable care.
